Margaret Mary Mundy, 73, of Midland, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 3, 2011. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday September 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland, with rosary prayers to begin at 7:00 pm. Services will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Saturday September 10, 2011 at 10:00 am with Monsignor Larry Droll, officiating.
Margaret was born on March 20, 1938 in Worcester, Mass to Thomas and Ann R. Heaney and she was married to F.G. (Bob) Mundy for 48 years.
Margaret was a sweet, gentle, kind and compassionate woman to everyone and to all creatures, big and small, there was no such thing as a stray animal, animals loved her and she loved them. She gave of herself and always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She was active with her grandchildren and was always there to cheer them on for football, baseball games and for any school activity. She was a loving wife, mother and grandma and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband F.G. (Bob) Mundy, son Rick Mundy and wife Mary Kathryn Mundy, daughters Suzanne Mundy, Lori Hamilton-Smith and husband Frank (Bud) Smith, Patricia Mundy and husband Minh Nguyen all of Midland, Texas, sisters Ann Richard of Midland, Texas, JoAnn Neil and husband Don of RI, brothers Thomas Heaney and wife Marie of Connecticut and Peter Heaney and wife Patsy of RI along with eight grandchildren, Kristy Mundy, Harrison Mundy and wife Christy, Justin and Michael Hamilton, Roma Bise, Clifford Smith, Seyarra and Mai Mundy-Nguyen and three great grandchildren, Alexis and Kandise Bise and Summer Mundy along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son Robert (Robbie) Mundy and brother-in-law Robert Richard.
In lieu of flowers, Margaret would be honored to have donations made in her name to the Midland SPCA or Midland Home Hospice.
