Bob began his career in Surgery at Akron General Medical Center and moved on to Barberton Citizens Hospital, where he retired after 35 plus years of service. He was Regional Director of Surgical Services (which included Wadsworth Hospital), Pain Management, Endoscopy, Wound Care, and Outpatient Clinic. He was very skilled with computers and was a past President of R-Base Programming Group.

Bob's love of music gave him the opportunity to perform in
"Docs Who Rock" with Dr. Newman's band "Sound Advice". Bob was a fun guy, and was great at being Master of Ceremonies, at several venues.

The joy of his life was his Wife, Nancy, and his Granddaughter, Deven, who lived with Bob and Nancy for three years. The man who was never going to have animals, bought Deven a dog!
