DOLOROSO — Services for Jimmie Holiday, 82, of Doloroso, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be at noon Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Doloroso with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Embrew Cemetery in Doloroso under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Holiday was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Woodville, the son of Fred and Thearo Lashaw Holiday. He was employed as a logger.

Survivors include one son, John McDonald and wife, Lollis, of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Annie Mae Holiday Ross and husband, Arthur, of Natchez, Rose Winding and Theola Morris and husband, Willie Earl, all of Woodville, and Dorothy Holiday of Chicago; four brothers, Freddie Willis, Vernon Willis, Elijah Willis and Donald Willis; four sisters, Theola Winn, Linda Washington, Shellie Myers and Laverne Fields; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
