The Scranton Republican, Scranton, Pennsylvania, Friday, May 31, 1935, Page 5, Column 2: Mrs. Maria Grippo - Mrs. Maria Grippo, 1028 Luke Avenue, died Wednesday night in the State Hospital following a brief illness. The funeral will take place at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning with a high mass of requiem in St. Rocco's Church, Dunmore. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery. -- She is survived by her husband, Frank; two sons, William and Anthony Grippo; four daughters, Mrs. William Gianetti and Mrs. Dominick Gatti, this city; Mrs. Joseph Donvito, Clarks Summit, and Mrs. James Murphy, Yonkers, N. Y. and one brother, Gaetano Guida, Jersey City.

GRIPPO - The funeral of Mrs. Maria Grippo 1026 Luke Avenue, was held Saturday morning from the home with a solemn high mass in St. Rocco's Church. The Rev. Michael DeSarno was the celebrant, the Rev. Louis Morines, deacon, and the Rev. Q. Rauzi, subdeacon. Miss Mary Rady presided at the organ and Peter Riccardo and Miss Louise DiSanti were the soloists. -- The casket bearers were: Michael, Peter and Rocco Siconolfi, Frank Longo, Michael Chicchillo and Anthony Caprio. Burial was in Abington Hills Cemetery.
