James Roger Grover, 93, of Cape Porpoise, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at St. Andre Health Care in Biddeford. He was born in Dodge City, Iowa on April 15, 1918, and was the adopted son of James Hubert and Maude D. Grover.

On May 3, 1942, he married Rowena Mitchell. Together they enjoyed 69 years of marriage.

James worked for Pepperill in Biddeford for over 50 years. He was also a member of Arundel Lodge #76, AF & AM.

James was predeceased by his daughter, Diana Worthley in September 2011.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Rowena Mitchell of Cape Porpoise; two daughters, Pamela Hutchins and her husband Victor of Cape Porpoise, Betsy Buzulchuck and her husband Mike of Kennebunk; his son-in-law Kelvin Worthley of Cape Porpoise; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services are private. Burial will be in Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk.
