Elmer Joseph Leising, 82, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1987, at 6:07 p.m. at his home, R.R.1, Rushville. Leising, a farmer, was born Aug. 1, 1904, the son of Bernard and Agnes Haskamp Leising. He married Marcella Bedel May 26, 1936, and she survives. He moved to Rush County from Decatur County 48 years ago, and had resided there since then. He was a member of the Rushville St. Mary's Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven sons, two daughters, one brother, three sisters, 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Rushville St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Cleary officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Rush County. Friends may call at the Todd Funeral Home in Rushville after 4 p.m. today. A rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
