H. Allen and one among the earliest settlers of Kansas, died last Friday and was buried Sunday in the America City cemetery. She had been poorly for some time, being almost ninety years old.

Obituary. Last Friday Mrs. Olive Allen, aged 88 years, one month and
eighteen days, died at the residence of her son, H. H. Allen, after a
long illness. She was born in Binnington, Vermont, and was twice
married, being the mother of seven children, only two of whom survive her. Mrs. Allen came to Kansas in 1858 - being buried, almost to a day thirty years later. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. A. G. Channell, at the Union church in America City ...
