Son of Shelba and the late Julius Wilbur,∼Matthew Paul Wilbur, 41
Come home, come home ye who are weary come home. God opened his arms and enfolded Matt into them as he went to be with his heavenly father. On December 21st Matt went to join his father, Julius (Bud) Wilbur, and his loved ones who were waiting for him to join them in heaven.
Matt was born on his dad’s birthday on March 27, 1975. He was a precious gift received into a house filled with love. He attended Northeast Bradford School where he excelled in wrestling. He earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do when he was 13 and participated in tournaments which he won many trophies. Matt was an avid hunter both with bow and rifle. He loved to show others his hunting trophy collection. He loved working outdoors and was very proud of his tremendous stone work transformations.
Matt will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. He is survived by the love of his life, his 10 year old son, Matty, his mother, Shelba Wilbur, Siblings: Julie Wilbur Burrowes, David Swisher, Dan Wilbur, Francine Swisher Wilson, Kim Wilbur Mott, Sue Wilbur Oley, Sally Swisher Mulno, Lynn Wilbur Bedford, Danny Swisher, Tracey Swisher Middaugh along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and so many friends.
A memorial service for Matt will be held Friday, December 30th 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rome Presbyterian Church, Rome, PA. Family and friends, please join us to share the many memories.
