Carlton "Carl" DeWayne Fennell, 63, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013. He passed peacefully at his home in Marysville, WA after battling cancer.

He was born April 24, 1949 in Vernon, TX to Wayne and Imogene (Talley) Fennell. He graduated from Bend High School, Bend, OR in 1967. This is where he met and married Linda (Nelson) Fennell in 1968.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He was known and loved by many for his years of hard work in the wood mill industry as a saw filer. He continued in that field all of his life and became proficient at his trade. He worked for Weyerhaeuser and several other local mills, including Buse Timber and Smith Street Mill. Carl was an adventurous soul who loved the rugged outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, camping, and kayaking, but he loved his Harley. He loved to be where the action was, and no doubt was the life of every party. Some of his interests included sports, sci-fi books and movies, chess, and good ol' conversation. He had a natural gift of story telling, and people were drawn to his charismatic personality. He loved his family and was proud of his three children, and had high hopes and dreams for his grandchildren. He was also an active member of New Life Fellowship in Bothell, WA.

Carl is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Fennell; children, David Fennell (Heather), Tonya Denny (Rich), and Mindy Ybarra (Rodney); mother, Imogene Fennell; siblings, Michael Fennell (Ruth), Dalene Barnhill (Joe), Suson Crawford (Steven), and Sam Fennell; six grandchildren, Maggie Fennell, Madeline Ybarra, Chaz Denny, Joshua Ybarra, Ella Denny, and Lexie Fennell; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Fennell; and his brother, Clay Fennell.
