Teddy was the son of Robert Lee Koon and Arilda Ann Wade and the husband of Agnes Koon. At the time of his death he was retired, living at 1707 George St in Rosenberg, TX. He died at Poly Ryon Hospital at the age of 64 yrs 9 mos 4 days. He was a veteran of World War I and awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action while a Sergeant of Co H, 360th Infantry Regt, 90th Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal in 1932.
