Michele M. Alonso, Registered Nurse Michele M. Alonso, age 63, of Brookhaven, passed away on September 9, 2013, at her home. She was born to the late Leonard D. Michael, Sr. and Edythe (Jackson) Michael on April 15, 1950, in Darby. She graduated from Darby-Colwyn High School in 1968 and from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1971. She married Joseph Alonso, Jr. in 1971, he passed away in 2010. Michele was a nurse in the Labor/Delivery Unit of Crozer-Chester Medical Center for 33 years. Many of the patients remember her fondly in appreciation of the personal care and attention she was known to give to the new mothers. She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church of Darby where she also sang in the choir. Michele was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking, and watching her favorite television shows. Survivors: Beloved wife of the late Joseph, Jr. and devoted mother of Joseph and her daughter-in-law, Dawn. Also survived by her grandson, Michael, her sister, Sarah Michael (Chris Evans), her brother, Leonard Michael (Janine), 3 nieces, and 1 nephew. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Anita, and her sister, Patricia McAllister. Services: Friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, 10:00-11:00 AM, in the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence Roads, Broomall, to be followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00AM.
