Dolly Albus passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, at the age of 83. Her family and many friends will miss her deeply.

Dolly was born to John and Alberta Miller on Oct. 28, 1924, in Jamestown, N. D. She attended high school in Jamestown, where she excelled in academics and athletics. In 1945, she completed nurses training and joined the Nurse Cadet Corps. She completed her post-graduate surgical training at Marquette, after which she worked at Jamestown Hospital as an OR nurse.

After they married, they moved to Billings, where many lifelong friendships began. She continued her nursing career in Billings, working with Dr. Caraway and at St. Vincent Hospital. She retired from nursing in 1965, after which she worked part-time at Village Fabric.

Dolly was known for being an excellent seamstress and candy/cookie baker. Her famous "Christmas Candy" will be missed by all. She spent a great deal of her time volunteering her time at St. Vincent and at St. Pius X Church, where she coordinated the luncheons for the funerals. She led a simple life driven by her faith in God and loved (and was loved by) her family and many friends.
