Graveside services for Mary Jo Miller, 88, of Tyler, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Baccus Cemetery, Frisco, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Pallbearers were Barry Clifton, Mike Clifton, Donald Gilbert, Greg Gilbert, Jason Player and Robert Palin. Mrs. Miller died January 23 in a Tyler hospital. She was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Beechgrove, Tenn., to Henry W. and Sally Ann Bush. She moved to Plano in 1918 and graduated from Plano High School. She lived in Elizabethtown, Ky., during World War II, returning to Texas after the war, where she worked for Texas Instruments for 24 years, retiring in 1982. She served as Cub Scout den mother, and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, and lived in Grand Saline before moving to Tyler. She is survived by a son, Ron Miller of Tyler; daughters, Kay Clifton of Emory, and Pam Gilbert of Tyler; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ida Brockman and Susie Newsom; brothers, Henry Bush, Marvin Bush, Will Bush, Ennis Bush and Morris Bush.
