She was born on May 31, 1930, in Frostburg, to the late Edward and Elizabeth (House) Sluss. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Charles, James, Edward Sluss, Helen Cozad, and Mary Ross.
LaDonna was a 1948 graduate of Beall High School and worked as a lab technician at Celanese Fiber Corp. and later a receptionist at Athey’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and Farrady Post 24 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dale Parker; two sisters, Evelyn Kern, Frostburg, Edwina Ann Day and husband George, Cumberland; brother-in-law, Jack Parker and wife Sally; two nieces, Sarah McConnell and husband Matthew, LaVale, La Donna Kay Smearman and husband Joe, Mt. Savage; Nephews, Chris Day and wife Jennifer, Centerville, VA, Scott Day and wife Makayla, Seattle, WA, Richard “Dick Sluss and wife Lois, Rawlings, MD; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
