Ron was a rescue Guinea pig. When we got him, his name was Bruno, and he had nothing in his cage but some dirty newspapers, a food dish, an igloo and a water bottle. He had never had fresh vegetables or fruit or hay. We brought him home, gave him actual bedding material, hay to chew, toys to play with, and veggies to nosh. We groomed him and gave him the love and attention he so desperately needed. He was not a happy piggy when he came into our lives in early August, 2012. By the end of that month, he was happy and content.

Almost 10 months after he came into the house, he passed away quietly in his cage, partially in his giant cardboard tube.

We only had him for a short time, but he will be greatly missed.
