FLETCHER Funeral for Rosalie Pahcoddy Bennett, 83, Fletcher, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Assembly of God with Pastor Robert Whitley and Pastor Scott Carper officiating.
Mrs. Bennett died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Lawton.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. tonight at Fletcher Assembly of God.
Pallbearers: grandsons J.R. Tahsequah , Kevin Tahsequah , Frankie Nance, Daniel Bennett Jr. , Randy Bennett, Chris Foster, Michael Bennett Jr., and Derek Bennett
Honorary pallbearers: LaVerne Tahsequah, Jim Foster, Dwight Wolfe, Michael Smith, Travis Smith, Doug Stamper, and Linda Stamper.
Burial will be in the Little Wichita Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1926, in Lawton, to Celso Pahcoddy and Mae Cheet-wah. She married Victor Wade Bennett on April 3, 1945, in Fletcher. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the Fletcher Assembly of God Church and attended regularly until her health diminished. She was a Certified Nurse's Aid and a member of the Comanche Tribe. She enjoyed watching her brothers, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball and softball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include five sons: Danny Bennett and wife, Donna; Geary Bennett; and Keith Bennett, all of Fletcher; Armand Bennett and wife, Martheia, Lawton; and Mike Bennett, Elgin; three daughters: Vickie Tahsequah and husband, LaVerne, Fletcher; Paula Foster and husband, Jim, Carrollton, Texas; and Sharon Wolfe, Fletcher; two sisters: Irene Lane, Anadarko; and Laticia Bridges, Fletcher; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and man friends and acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers: Larry Pahcoddy and Wilford Pahcoddy; one sister, Evelyn Tieyah; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.
