Mrs. Allen died Monday, June 12, 1995, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1902, at Escanba, Mich., the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Thiry Gafner.
She owned and operated a general store from 1935 to 1954 in Escanba, Mich., and was a longtime real estate agent. She moved to Oskaloosa in 1954 and lived there until moving to Lawrence in 1987 and to Topeka in 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oskaloosa.
She married Charles Jones in 1954. He died Nov. 17, 1966. She married Clyde H. Allen in 1975. He died July 27, 1988.
Survivors include five stepdaughters, Lynnetta Nunez, Topeka, Jessie Kirk and Christel Thompson, both of Kansas City, Kan., Georgie McGee, Muskogee, Okla., and Marcellas Edgecomb, Chicago; a stepson, Lauren Jones, Topeka; and several stepgrandchildren.
