He was born March 4, 1931, in Akron, Ohio, to Roland Carl and Lolita Mae (Stiver) Baun.
He married Shirley Steffen on Jan. 26, 1951, in Berrien Springs, Mich. The couple moved to Bethel in 1963 where Bill owned a construction business.
He was administrator at Bethel Living Center from 1964 to 1976. He continued to work there until 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Baun, Arpin; son, R. Terry (Gladys) Baun, Arpin; daughter, Kathy (Ralph) Zalabak, Stratford; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carlene Christopher, Alamonte Springs, Fla., and Becky (Jim) Beardsley, Livonia, Mich.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church in Arpin. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
