Dillon Field, 76, of Burleson, Texas formerly of Clearbrook, MN died on July 4, 2011 in Burleson, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leonard, MN at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Bob Kirchman officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Cease Family Funeral Home from 5 – 7p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Clover Cemetery, Leonard, MN.
Dillon was born October 31, 1934 at Viking, MN the daughter of Arthur M. and Hulda (Grytbak) Olson. She attended school in New Folden, MN. Dillon married Emil Field on August 11, 1951 at Clearbrook, MN. . Emil was in the military and for 23 years they lived in many places in the United States and also overseas. Emil and Dillon adopted 2 children from Germany. In 1968, they moved to Leonard, MN and began farming where they retired. Emil died on August 31, 1992. Dillon was a very giving and talented person and could do almost anything. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She loved sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by 2 daughters - Ingrid Coleman of Burleson, TX Ilona Molck of East Grand Forks, MN 3 sisters - Helen (Cliff) Cavitt of Brooksville, FL Marlys Holmes of Virginia, MN Betty (Chris) Merseth of Clearbrook, MN 2 brothers - Sonny (Cedy) Olson of Clearbrook, MN Gordon (Karen) Olson of Clearbrook, MN
4 grandchildren- Bill Gotaas, Erica Gotaas, Gary Molck and Steven Molck and 5 great grandchildren – Ashley Rains, Jarett Rains, Tyson Gotaas, Brandon Gotaas, and Austin Gotaas
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers -Jimmy Olson and Clayton Olson, sisters - Audrey Olson and Dolly Holmstrom, son-in-law - Bill Molck.
