Mrs. Hattie Erredge, one of Forest Lake's pioneer residents, passed away in the Forest Lake Clinic hospital Tuesday, July 16 at the age of 74 years. She had been confine in the hospital nearly three weeks before her death. Hattie Simmons, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Simmons, was born October 16, 1882. As a member of one of Forest Lake's first families, she developed a deep interest in the early history of the community and as a result, became somewhat of an amateur historian. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) from the Mattson Funeral Home in Forest Lake at 2 p.m. with Roy Anderson of the Church of Christ officiating. Mrs. Erredge is survived by her sisters Mrs. Clyde Shipman, Mrs. Mabel Harrity, Mrs. Lillian Louis and Mrs. Rose Toungren of California, and Mrs. Jesse Long of Forest Lake. Also two brothers, Leon Simmons of
California and Harry Simmons of St. Paul.
