Visitation for Mabel L. Arndt, 89, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Arndt, who was born in Norwich, N.D., died Tuesday.

She graduated from high school in Norwich as a salutatorian in 1928.

Mrs. Arndt moved to Sandpoint in 1938.

She married Fred Arndt in 1942, and they operated a dairy farm in Sandpoint for 30 years.

Mrs. Arndt moved to Otis Orchards five years ago.

She was a 30-year member of First Lutheran Church in Sandpoint.

Her husband died in 1992.

Survivors include, two sons, Paul Arndt of Otis Orchards and Allen Arndt of Edwall, Wash.; a daughter, Arlene Snyder of Milpitas, Calif.; two brothers, Norman Bolstad of Sandpoint and Victor Bolstad of Everett; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Village Courtyard Project.
