LUFKIN - Services for F.L. "Angel" Ainsworth, 100, Lufkin, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home chapel, Lufkin, with the Revs. Ronnie Frankens and Clayton McClendon officiating.

Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Ainsworth died Jan. 4, 2007, at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1906, in Robertson County, to the late Thomas Aaron and Emma Lee Green Ainsworth. He retired from Taylor Brothers where he worked as a painter until retiring in 1976. In 1913, he and a younger brother walked from Hearne to Angelina County (they migrated here in a covered wagon). He was a Pentecostal.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Leona Winthrop Ainsworth; and son, Gary Wayne Ainsworth.

Survivors include sons, Charles Ainsworth, Lake Jackson, Thomas Ray Ainsworth and Travis Ainsworth, both of Lufkin; daughters, Melba Anthony, Betty Riley and Helen Bryan, all of Lufkin; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Patric Ainsworth, Mark Bryan, Tommy Ainsworth, Bart Riley, Guy Anthony and Carl Bryan.

Honorary pallbearers will be other grandsons.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
