Trilba Jones, 93, a resident of Gassville passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Gassville Nursing Center.

She was born April 11, 1918, in McPhearson to Arthur and Dora Alexander Acklin. She married Solomon Nathaniel Jones on June 4, 1952 in Mountain Home. Trilba had worked at Twin Lakes Nursing Home, now Auburn Hills Nursing Center and then worked at White Sands Motel in Cotter. She loved gardening and sewing. Trilba was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Franks; five sisters, Una Lee Kirk, Esther Everidge, Ruby Cobb, Dolly Siau and Sylvia Acklin; three brothers, Tommy, Chester and Richard "Buck" Acklin; a daughter, Louise (Cranfill) Frost; two sons, Lotus Franks and Raymond Jones and two grandchildren, Robert Lee Cranfill and Melissa Leighty.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Solomon Jones of Gassville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Franks of Gassville, Lunnie and Joyce Franks of Whiteville, Leonard and Verna Jones of Gassville and Vernon and Linda Jones of Mountain Home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Jay Hollingsworth of Whiteville, Linda May and James Davis of Huntland, Tennessee and Della and Wilbur Phillips of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Jones of Lakeview and Charlotte Franks of Midway; a sister, Mary Szegedy of Mountain Home; 26 grandchildren, Allen, Kathy, Debbie, Louie, Darrell, Doyle, Missy, Daniel, Molly, Leonard, Lisa, Anna, Angela, Darrell, Lotus Lee, Stacey, Victoria, Tracey, Amanda, Nathaniel Timothy, John Wesley, Leonard Lee, Randy, Raymond Gene and Sheri; 53 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Curtis-Acklin Cemetery near Norfork with the Rev. Gene Carson officiating. Burial will be immediately following under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Hollingsworth, Darrell Franks, Lotus Lee Franks, Raymond Gene Jones, Allen Franks and Randy Jones.
