Robert Abromavage. of Drake Street. Old Forge, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 24, 1989. in Mercy Hospital. Scranton, shortly after being admitted. Born in Plains Township, he was the son of the late John and Eva Shacochis Abromavage. He was a graduate of Plains Township High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was also a civilian adviser for the U.S. Army during two tours in Vietnam. He also served as a senior civilian adviser to the Saudi Arabian Government for 31⁄2 years. prior to retiring in 1983. Mr. Abromavage was a member of the American Legion. Plains Township, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Duryea. Surviving are his wife, the former Nadine Shypulski, formerly of Old Forge: son. Robert, Gouldsboro: daughters, Mrs. Karen Webster. Philadelphia, Mrs. Mary Ellen Perry, Mountaintop: Melanie Abromavage, Germany: stepsons. Lonny and Mark Graziosi. both of Old Forge; stepdaughter, Maria Graziosi, Old Forge: brothers, Martin. Gaithersburg, Md.: John. Phoenix, Ariz.: sister. Mrs. Mary Pilwallis. Plains Township: five grandchildren: two stepgrandchildren: nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Samuel R. Palermo Funeral Home, 409 N. Main St.. Old Forge. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Mary's Church. Old Forge. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
