OBIT

Dora Mae Binder, 81, left us on April 5, 2018, at Ingleside Assisted Living Care home, with her daughter at her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in 1936, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where she spent her childhood. She was wed to Richard Binder in 1955 and they moved to California in 1957 to start a family and new life in a new state. They later moved to the Central Coast in 1989, building a new home in Templeton, to embark on another life adventure. Dora was a beloved and valued registered nurse at Twin Cities Community hospital for many years until she retired to tend to her beautiful rose garden and focus on enjoying travel and time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and is survived by her daughters: Linda and Lisa; and her granddaughter, Ashley. Even while fading and ultimately losing the battle against the disease that plagued her, she never lost her loving, positive attitude, her sense of humor and her joy of life. Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Atascadero Chapel of the Roses on El Camino Real.
