Virginia Vaughan Munger Bracy, 91, of South Boston, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at The Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on July 17, 1919, daughter of the late Greer Vaughan and Maude Langford Vaughan and was married to the late Harvey Bracy. She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, George W. Penzer Jr. and wife Joyce of Scottsburg and Warren C. Penzer of Clays Mill; one daughter, Carol Ann Conner and husband Alvin of Salemburg, NC; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Vaughan of South Boston, Dewey Vaughan of Halifax and Andrew Vaughan of Scottsburg; two sisters, Dorothy Martin of Richmond and Mae Butler of South Boston. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Mayhan officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg. The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Scottsburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 85, Scottsburg, VA 24589.
