Donna Sekera Allan, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010, in Wilkes-Barre. She was the adored fiancée of Tony Morrash; cherished mother of Lori Bonomo and Brittney Allan; and beloved daughter of Mary Sordoni Sekera and the late Joseph Sekera. She died of complications relating to her battle with cancer at Hospice Community Care Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Donna was a graduate of Dallas High School, class of 1970, and was formerly employed by Merle Norman Wilkes-Barre, M.E. Moore Realty and presently Lewith & Freeman Realty, Kingston. She was a member of the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly, was a licensed real estate agent in the state of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Board of Realtors. Donna was also a former member of the Junior League of Wilkes-Barre.
Donna's passions were cooking, exercising, and dancing the night away.
She is survived by her sisters, Toni Rizzo of Dallas, and Roxanne Santey and her husband, Tony, of Trucksville; brother, Joseph Sekera, and his wife, Nedra, of Blue Ridge, Ga.; three nieces, Tracy Stahl Collins, Michelle Stahl, and Roxanne Rizzo; two great-nieces, Samantha and Michelle Collins; and step-children, Morgan and Tony Morrash Jr.
Funeral will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly Church, Trucksville.
Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
