Mrs. Christine Tyson Amerson, age 94, of Tennille died on Friday, May 20, 2016 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Amerson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Arlie Clayton Tyson and the late Sally Mae Byrne Tyson. She was the wife of the late Charlie Raymond Amerson. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Erin Knight, and her siblings, Velma Tompkins, Grace Smith, Eunice Price, Sara Willard, and A. C. Tyson, Jr. Mrs. Amerson was a homemaker and a member of the Tennille Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.
