Dearest Josie, Thou hast left us,
In this lonely world to roam;
Jesus saw it best to take thee
To that bright eternal home.

God knows best, we should not murmur,
He hath called you home to dwell;
May this trial prove a blessing,
For he doth all things well.

We'll meet our dearest loved ones
In the distant land afar.
When we go within the heavens
Through the gates that stand ajar.

A Friend
