Died - At her home in Hamburg precinct, January 27, 1894, Mrs. Josephine McDonald, age 29 years, 7 months, and 5 days. Mrs. McDonald was born in Calhoun county June 22, 1865, and was married to Mr. Ezekial McDonald, some 6 years ago. She united with the Christian church some 18 or 19 years ago.
She was in poor health for some time but seemed to be at all times happy. She was an esteemed lady, highly respected by all who knew her.
She was teh oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wilson, of Indian Creek, her mother preceding her to the grave some two or three years ago. She leaves a husband, father, three sisters, two brothers, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Her remains were interred in the Crader cemetery Sunday, January 28, in the presence of a large concourse of weeping and sympathizing friends.
Dearest Josie, Thou hast left us,
In this lonely world to roam;
Jesus saw it best to take thee
To that bright eternal home.
God knows best, we should not murmur,
He hath called you home to dwell;
May this trial prove a blessing,
For he doth all things well.
