A memorial mass will take place for Eduardo Jerry Perea at the San Jose Church in Anton Chico, N.M., at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009. Interment of his cremains will take place immediately following the memorial mass at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Dilia, N.M.

Jerry passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2009, with his family by his side. He was born on July 18, 1949. Jerry enjoyed cooking and fishing and always made people laugh. He always enjoyed life in general. He is preceded in death by his parents Lino and Dorothy Perea.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Violette, and husband Dan; grandchildren, Emilio Braun and Erika Violette; his former wife, Virginia Perea; four sisters, Alice Carter-Rivera, Cordilia Sandoval, Angie Baca and husband Arturo and Francis Espinosa; two brothers, Joe Perea and wife Ramona, and Sef Perea and wife Mary Helen. He is also survived by one aunt, Mida Branch and husband Michael, and also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
