Funeral services for Howard Bishop, 63, Alexander City will be held Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Bass Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Darian Cemetey in Daviston.

Mr. Bishop was born in Tallapoosa County on July 13, 1946 to Sam and Nancy Bishop. He was employed at Russell corporation for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years; Glenda Bishop; son, Greg Bishop (Angela); daughters, Robbie Railey (Lee), Tammy Harding (Henry), 8 grandchildren; William Bishop (Jessica), Chris Bishop, Aron Bishop, Clay Bishop, Samantha Railey, Joe Railey, Nikki Harding and Abby Harding; 1 great-grandchild, Lukas Bishop; brother, Wilford Bishop(Edith); sister, Laverne Davis (Harlan).

He wss preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Nancy Bishop, 5 brothers, Hermon, Raymon, J.T., Ludene and Richard Bishop; sister, Sue Bishop.
