Wake services for Freeman Candyfire were held Tuesday in the Tri County Building in Geary. Funeral services were held today at Geary First Baptist Church with Rev. Ramos Hicks Sr. and Rev. George Akeen officiating. Burial was in the Candyfire Cemetery in Geary under direction of Turner Funeral Home.
Mr. Candyfire died Thursday at St. Anthony Hospital. He was born July 9, 1943, in Fonda. He was a member of the Native American Church in Oklahoma City.
