Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Octaviano and Adiana Pacheco, her maternal grandparents, Jose and Pablita Pacheco, paternal grandparents, Moses and Sophia Pacheco, her spouse of 47 years, Francis Sanchez, sister, Merlinda Vigil, brothers, Charlie Pacheco, Octaviano Pacheco Jr. and Joe Pacheco, special nephew, Joe "Shorty" Mondragon and grandson, Christopher Lueras, may all their souls rest in peace.
Stella loved music, dancing, gardening and making her famous tortillas. Stella also enjoyed going for wood and picking piñon. Stella was a woman of faith and listened to the Rosary every morning on KDCE.
Stella is survived by her six children, Diane Pacheco (Rex), Lawrence Sanchez (Tina), Frances Michelle Sanchez (Louie), Francella Sanchez (Michael), Vivian Romero (Michael) and Brian Sanchez (Dora), special friend, Richard Montoya, grandchildren, Daniel Trujillo, Gene Ortiz, Desiree Sanchez, Erick Montes, Frankie Medina, Freddie Medina, Kenny Medina, Alexandra Montes, Kevin Medina, MiKayla Archuleta, Alexuis Romero, Alexa Sanchez and Francis Romero, great-grandchildren, Brielle Trujillo, Madeline and Henry Ortiz, brothers and sisters, Orlando Pacheco (Erminia), Rosa Esquita, Oliver Pacheco, Kate Gallegos (Sam), Roseann Mondragon (Orlando) and Doris Duran (Ben) and her cat, Mousey of 10 years.
The Pacheco family would like to extend their gratitude to AmberCare Hospice Staff for the wonderful care of their mother. The family is also very grateful for all the prayers, visits and support during this difficult time.
Public visitation was on Friday, August 4, 2017 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. A rosary was recited afterward by the Hermanos. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2017 also at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Burial took place at the Chamisal Cemetery, the following served as pallbearers, Gene Ortiz, Desiree Sanchez, Frankie Medina, Freddie Medina, Kenny Medina, Kevin Medina, Freddie Medina Sr., Michael Romero and Michael Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers were, Daniel Trujillo, Erick Montes, Alexandria Montes, MiKayla Archuleta, Alexuis Romero, Alexia Sanchez, Francis Romero, Brielle Trujillo, Madeline and Henry Ortiz.
