Barbara J. "Bob" (Murphy) Lewis, a resident and native of Port Allen, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 70.
Visiting at Halls of Port Allen, 1160 Louisiana Ave until services, conducted by the Rev. Michael Byrd. Interment in Lady of Knight Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter, Monique Murphy (Ronnie Moore), Port Allen; sons, Calvin Guss, Willie Guss, Shawn Pearl, Kim Murphy, all of Port Allen; brothers, Oscar Murphy (Mary Murphy), of Atlanta, Ga., and Freddie Murphy, of Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Owenia Patterson Murphy and Adam Murphy, Jr.; two brothers, Clarence and Adam Murphy, III; a son, Charles Guss, Jr.; 3 uncles, a nephew and a great-grandson.
She liked to cook and spend time with family.
