Johannes Post - since 1929 tenant farmer in Nieuwlande - in 1935 AR councilor / alderman Oosterhesselen. His brother Marinus he hit from the fall of 1942 heavily involved in helping mainly Jews in hiding. He moved into hiding several dozens, gave many very briefly shelter in his home and took care of hiding places in Nieuwlande area. From Rijnsburg he formed late 1943 the KP-John, who was conducting raids on town halls and distribution offices in South Holland and Brabant. The proceeds mainly went to the Wedding component, even from the beginning of 1944 to the LO. Post was mid-1944 as Top LKP male member of the Core and the Triangle. On July 15, 1944, he was an hour after the organized by him (unsuccessful) attack on the remand prison on the Weteringschans in Amsterdam, was arrested in the street and shot dead the next day.
