CARENCRO -Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2004, in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Joseph Eugene Alleman, 59, who died at 5:58 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medi-al Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Carl Benton, pastor of Living Glory Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Alleman was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was a member of the Living Glory Church and was a man of great courage and faith.

Survivors include one brother, Ovide Alleman and his wife, Peggy, of Lafayette; four sisters, Viola Trahan, of Lafayette, Bernida Cormier, of Breaux Bridge, Theresa Langlinais, of Carencro, and Annie A. Lapoint and her husband, Stanley, of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Alleman and Arthemise Hayes Alleman; and one brother, Joseph Bennett Reed.

Pallbearers will be Michael Trahan, Steven Lapoint, Robert Mouton, Mark Cormier, Russell Reed and Joseph Petro III.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
