Nellie was hard working throughout her life. She loved her family and took care of them always. She enjoyed looking after the needs of others too, including serving meals to many. She kept a vegetable garden, and grew the best tomatoes! She raised chickens, and took care of all the animals on the farm. As an adult she taught herself to drive, and received her license.

Survivors include: Her daughter, Della Miller of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Gene Mitchell and wife Theresa, Michael Mitchell, and Crystal Davis; ten great-grandchildren, Kyle, Scott, Zak, Justis, Allyssa, Charles, Elizabeth, Zoe, Cameron, and Brandon; two great-great-grandchildren, Brentley and Cooper; a special niece, Joyce Bostic; and her helpful companion, David Wylie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Cowpoke” in 2011; and three children, Delbert, Savannah, and Selena.

A graveside funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 14, in Highlandville Cemetery, with Pastor Tommy Hopkins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
