"The death of George Amick of St Joseph, for 25 years an employee of Swift and Company, occurred Monday afternoon at Missouri Methodist Hospital in St Joseph where he had undergone an operation earlier in the day.

Mr. Amick was a brother of Mrs. Eunice Foreman, member of the Chillicothe Business College faculty, and Mrs. Mae Stroud, member of the State Industrial Home staff. They have gone to attend the funeral. His mother is Mrs. Hulda Amick of Breckenridge.

Mr. Amick's widow, two brothers and three other sisters also survive. He was 54 years of age." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune (Chillicothe, Missouri), October 31, 1939
