Mrs. Clarinda B. Adams, 1015 East State Street, died at noon on Thursday. Death was due to old age. She had been failing steadily for three months.
Mrs. Adams was born in Binghampton, New York, July 22, 1830, and was married 55 years ago next Christmas. In 1864, Mr. and Mrs. Adams moved to Rockford and have made this city their home since. A family dinner was given on their golden anniversary and a similar gathering was held on each anniversary following.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Raymond Adams, and two daughters, Mrs. Samuel Norton, 519 Locust street, and Mrs. Andrew Taylor who formerly lived in Harlem and is now residing at Canton, S. D.
The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the home. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff cemetery.
