His marriage license to Catherine Robinson lists him as W. Francis but everyone called him Francis and this is the only record that I found with the initial "W."
Francis was a carpenter and lived in Monroe Co., Ill; Belleville, IL, Central City (Marion Co.), IL where he was postmaster from April 22, 1854 to Feb 8, 1855. In 1870 he was back in Monroe Co., IL living in Columbia. In 1880 he is a member of his son's, L.C., household in Mason Co., IL, where it is indicated that both his parents were born in Ireland. He died in 1882.
Catherine Robinson and Francis Agnew had 4 known children:
Aurilus A. Agnew 1828-1834; Paulinus F., known as P.F., born 1830 and last known residence was in Marion Co., IL, after being mustered out of the 111 Ill. Reg. Company; Leeander Constantine known as L.C. 1886-1958; and Arilla born 1839.
