Funeral arrangements have been completed for the only civilian killed in Tuesday's crash of a B52 at Ellsworth AFB, but rites are still pending for the four military men who perished.

Rites for Glen Allen, 57, an electrician and auto mechanic at EAFB for the past 14 years, have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Behrens Chapel. Rev. Rew Walz will officiate and burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery [Note: burial was at Pine Lawn Memorial Park].

A memorial has been established for the heart fund.

Services for A-1C James E. Ferrell of Williston, N.D., will be held in Williston, but arrangements are pending. Campbell's Funeral Home is also in charge of arrangements for the other three military men.

Allen was born Nov. 19, 1900, at Rockford, Iowa, and grew up in that state. He was married to Marie Nelson Oct. 2, 1925 at Mason City, Iowa, and in 1927 they moved to Long Valley, where Allen operated a service station and garage. They came to Rapid City in 1937 and he began employment at Ellsworth a few years later.

Allen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; the IOOF Lodge and the Canton and Encampment of the local IOOF.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Hudson Horsley and Shirley Allen, and four grandchildren, all of Rapid City; his mother, Mary Allen, and a sister Ruby Allen, both of Gordon, Neb. One son died in World War II.
