Unsure of how to spell her maiden name - have seen it spelled Nieman, Niemann, Neiman, but most likely her family name is spelled Neuman.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Katie Fischer, 81, from the Winner Trinity Lutheran Church July 13. The Rev. Eugene Kitzerow officiated.

Burial was in the Colome Cemetery, under the direction of the Mason Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fischer was born March 17, 1877 in Odessa Russia, and died at the Rosebud Community Hospital July 10, 1958.

She spent her childhood at Scotland, S. D., where she was married to Christian Fischer, Oct. 1, 1894. They were the parents of 10 children, 10 of whom survive.

The family moved to Tripp County in 1910. The last 17 years, Mrs. Fischer had lived in Winner.

Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors are eight children, Mrs. David Schmidt of Peshastin, Wash.; Mrs. Adolph Schnabel of Tripp; Julius of Winner; Pete of Colome; Otto of Cashmere, Wash.; Mrs. Roth Peterson of Redwood City, Calif.: Mrs. Leo Quinn of Wenatche, Wash., and Mrs. William Davison of Belmont, Calif. She also leaves 30 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Katie Fischer, long time resident of Tripp county, died of a lingering illness Thursday morning at the Rosebud Community hospital in Winner at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 23 days.

Funeral Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Winner Trinity Lutheran church. Rev. Eugene Kitzerow officiated. The Mason funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Colome Cemetery.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Burke, Tripp, Naper, Gregory, Redwood City, Calif., and Wenatchee, Wash.
