David R. Adwell, Sr., 71, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born September 7, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his son, David R. Adwell, Jr.; father, David O. Adwell; step-father, Wilbur Michaels; and step-brother, David Michaels. He loved to spend time spoiling his grandchildren and playing softball as a member of the Silver Sticks senior softball team.
Survivors include:
Wife of 30 years: Debra K. Adwell
Mother: Bertha Michaels
Children: Nick Sandullo and his wife, Emily
Christi Spitznagel and her husband, John
Daughter-in-law: Dina Adwell and her significant other, Tom
Grandchildren: Abbie, Skylar, Mallory, Owen, Riley, and Molly
Siblings: Norman Adwell, Larry Adwell, Linda Warren, Sandy Mott, and Rita Thurman
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and after 10:00 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with private entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
