Thelma A Donachricha
June 18, 1919 - October 29, 2011
Obituary

"How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver and her gain better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her. And happy are those who hold her fast." Proverbs 3: 13-18. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt went home to be with her Lord Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, 92 years of age born June 18, 1919. She leaves behind her husband, Pete Donachricha; a daughter, Rita Davis Sibley & husband Don; a son, Johnny Davis & wife Sueko; two step-daughters, Kelly Donachricha Hebert & Crystal Donachricha Davenport; and a step-son Steve Donagricha. Six grandchildren, Scott Wales; Shaun Wales & wife Joyce, Lisa Davis Rocheford & husband Dennis; Brenda Davis Hester & husband Bill; Louie Davis and Jim Davis. Great Grandchildren are Kelli Wales; Rachael Wales; Eric Wales; Shawna Yohe Ott; Nicole Yohe; Richard Carlton; Jeremy Rocheford & Landon Walden. Also survived by numerous great great grandchildren & a dear friend Pat Galik who was as close to a daughter to her as anyone could be. Preceded in death by her father Joseph Almont May; mother Lula Williamson May; a husband James "Jimmy" Davis; a son Virgil Lee Davis; & a grand-daughter Debbie Davis Ware. Also preceded in death by her siblings Mildred Gourley-Brooks; Deloris Buhler; Juanita LaBauve-Bell; Woodrow May; James May; William Clarence "WC" May; & Joe May, Jr. Aline worked and retired from the State of Louisiana, Insurance Rating Commission as the Supervisor of the mailroom until her retirement. She was well known and loved by her co-workers and loved the time she put in with the State. She loved to work in the yard and this was evidenced by the beautiful flowers she had and the fact that her home was selected yard of the month on more than one occasion. She was an extraordinary cook and loved to cook and entertain for her husband, family and guest. The family would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the care givers and Baton Rouge Hospice for the special care given our loved one. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-8pm and continue on Monday from 10am until service 12pm. Service will be provided by Reverend Larry S. Bossier. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
