Mrs. Leona M. AMBLER, 77, Plymouth, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Canterbury nursing home in Rochester. She had been ill five months. Born Oct. 5, 1895, in Fulton county, she was the daughter of William R. and Avis I. BRIGGS DuBOIS. Her marriage was Aug. 28, 1915 in Peru to Leo F. AMBLER, who survives. She had resided 11 years in Plymouth, moving from Macy. She was a member of the Mothers club, Past Matron of the O.E.S. at Macy, Macy Christian church and the American War Mothers at Plymouth. Surviving with her husband are one son, Leo AMBLER, Plymouth; two daughters, Mrs. John L. (Veva) DONALDSON, Peru, and Mrs. Herman (Jo Ann) SHOEMAKER, Crete, Ill.; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Briggs DuBOIS, Sarasota, Fla., and Tom DuBOIS, Macy; one sister, Mrs. Aubrey (Lucretia) HALE, South Band. Final rites will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Christian church at Macy. The Rev. E. Stanley SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetery at Macy. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church one hour prior to services. The Macy O.E.S. will conduct memorial services at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
