Her funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, June 14, 2004 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tony Haefs and Rev. Ray Bowman will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Crown Hill Mausoleum.
A native of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Dix had lived in Albany for many years. She was a long time member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and had worked in the Pentagon during World War II as an assistant to William Rogers.
Survivors include her husband, Sammy Dix of Albany; two sons, Steve Dix of Albany, Scott Dix of Lilburn; and two grandchildren, Samantha Dix of Americus and Tim Dix of Albany.
