Barbara "Bonnie" Ann Ciccarelli, 61, of Statesville, passed away, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

Bonnie was born July 13, 1952 in Washington, DC to the late Dominic and Rita Beckert Ciccarelli. She was a graduate of Washington DC city schools and on November 27, 1976 was married to the late Barry Smith, who passed away in 2013. Bonnie was loving and caring to all she came in contact with. She opened her heart and home to everyone and was considered to be "Mom" to all who knew her. She will be missed and loved, until the end of time.

She is survived by five children, Jimmy Ciccarelli (Candace), Angela Estrada, Christina Sagala (Memo), Amanda Smith (Rene) and Barry Smith (Julie), nine grandchildren, one brother, one sister and a huge extended family.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday night 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
