Isaac Weaver Martin, also known as Old Spring Ike Martin, was the 3rd generation of Martins to farm the Spring Ike Farm, beginning in 1865, when he married Anna W. Musser, his cousin's daughter. In old age he lived in the eastern end of the farmhouse when their grandson (Isaac and Ada) started housekeeping and farming. Old Spring Ike and his wife outlived their 5 children, three of them dying before age 21. Lastly his wife died of burns received from the cook stove. 50 years after Isaac's funeral a pallbearer remembered how the funeral procession, moving from the farmhouse after the services, stopped for a short rest on their way to the cemetery.
