KNOX COUNTIAN'S MOTHER DIED AT HANNIBAL
Mrs. Blanche B. Bilyeu, 82, of Shelbyville, mother of Mrs. O. M. Johnston of Newark and Mrs. Vernon Mann of Leonard, died at 3:45 o'clock Friday afternoon, Oct. 23, 1970, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hannibal where she had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Monday, Oct. 26, at the Christian Church in Shelbyville with the Rev. Fred Kerby officiating and burial was in the IOOF Cemetery there.
Also surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. Page Pendleton of Columbia, Mrs. Russell LeFevre of Washington, D.C., Mrs. A. L. Williams of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Virgil Decker of near Shelbina, a son Eddie Bilyeu, of St. Charles, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a brother, Eddie Tarbet, of Shelbyville.
Mrs. Bilyeu was born Sept. 24, 1888, in Shelby County, a daughter of William Robert and Callie Minick Tarbet. She married Maut V. Bilyeu Feb. 2, 1905, and he preceded her in death in 1945, as did a son, Clyde V. Bilyeu, who died Aug. 11, 1966. She was a member of the Christian Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Rebekah Lodge.
