Marie Hartman, 91, of Stronghurst, formerly of Spring Valley, died November 24, 2009, in Oak Lane Nursing Home, Stronghurst.
Services November 28 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley. The Rev. Robert Spilman officiated. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, was in charge of arrangements.
She was born October 1, 1918, in Spring Valley to Michael and Maggie (Chiado) Borell.
She married Dominic Venardi on May 2, 1936.
He died in 1946.
She then married Emmett Hartman on August 18, 1951. He died in 1984.
Mrs. Hartman was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley.
Survivors are two sons, Richard Venardi of Pleasant Hill CA, and Donald (Sharon) Venardi of Stronghurst;
one stepson, Edward (Melody) Hartman of Dunlap;
one stepdaughter, Nancy (Tom) Shaw of Granville;
nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Donna; and three brothers.
